Onyx is a fine art portrait series by photographers Mark & Robyn.
Created in a distinctive black-and-white style, each portrait is carefully crafted to reveal the character, expression, and presence of its subject. By removing the distraction of colour and background, the viewer is invited into a deeper and more intimate connection with the animal itself.
Whether depicting wildlife, New Zealand’s iconic birdlife, every portrait is approached with patience, respect, and meticulous attention to detail. The result is a collection of timeless images that celebrate both beauty and individuality.
Through the interplay of light, shadow, and texture, Onyx transforms fleeting moments into enduring works of art.
